Selling V Festival Tickets

If you’ve brought V festival tickets which you’re not able to use you can’t usually get refunds from your ticketing agent so you’ll need to sell them. There’s definitely a right way and a wrong way to sell your unwanted V festival tickets.

The best way

Sell your V tickets to mates or mates of mates. Put a post out on facebook or Twitter or send an email around the office. Someones bound to know someone who’s looking for tickets. Don’t be an arsehole, sell em at face value.

Sell your V tickets online

If you really don’t have enough friends to flog your V tickets too you can sell them securely online using sites like seatwave, viagogo and getmein. All of these sites list tickets on your behalf and take a commission if they successfully sell them.

If you list your V festival tickets for sale on either of these sites at a reasonable price and in good time you’re pretty much guaranteed to sell them.

You’ll be responsible for delivery of the tickets to the buyer and if you fail to keep up your end of the bargain with the buyer the site will charge you the full cost of providing an alternative V festival ticket to the buyer which can cost hundreds of pounds.

Bear this in mind and only list your V tickets for sale on one site. If you sell the tickets on both sites you’ll end up losing money.

Don’t sell on eBay

We strongly advise against buying V festival tickets on eBay. Therefore it follows that we advise against selling on eBay as well. If you’re 100% sure you’re going to follow through and deliver the tickets to your buyer in good time, fair enough, use eBay. But bear in mind that there are better alternatives in sites like seatwave where your sale is guaranteed in so much as the buyer pays instantly and can’t back out later as often happens with eBay auctions.

Don’t sell to touts

DO NOT SELL YOUR V TICKETS TO TICKET TOUTS. Was that loud enough? Although there are honest tours out there who provide something bordering on a service to festival goers there’s far too many scammers among them to make it worth plugging your tickets or money into the ticket black market. V ticket touts won’t give you a decent price for your tickets and they’ll sell them on for extortionate amounts to other festival goers.

If someone backs out at the last minute and you need to make a quick sale jump on the V festival facebook group and post up that you’ve got tickets available for anyone who can meet you at the gate. Don’t stand on the street and try to tout the tickets yourself, the proper touts work together and are likely to give you a kickin’ if they catch you!
