V festival ticket scams and how to avoid them
V festival ticket scams are simple, as is avoiding them just follow this SIMPLE advice and you’ll be fine.
How do V festival ticket scams work
What we’ve seen in recent years is scammers setting up fake ticketing websites which claim to have V festival tickets available for sale at face value. They don’t, they just pocket your money and you know nothing about it until the tickets don’t turn up on the week of the festival.
Avoiding the V ticket scams
V only sell official tickets through a number of selected ticketing agents and websites like ticketmaster and seetickets. The official V festival website has a list of approved ticketing partners which you can check here. Buy through these guys and you’ll be fine. Buy from anyone else you will be scammed, simple as right?
Official V festival tickets (the ones you can get at face value) typically sell out with a few hours of going on sale so if you see offial tickets for sale after this time it’s almost certainly a scam.
Don’t just trust Google results. Go directly to http://www.vfestival.com and check the approved seller list and follow the links from that site. Scammers will design websites to look very similar to the official seller sites with similar web addresses so be extra vigilant of the website address in your browser.
There’s a few exceptions
In past years V festival tickets have been made available for sale after the main release of tickets through national express. Double check any deal like this on the official V site. If it’s legit it will be listed there.
You can buy legit V festival tickets after the festival has sold out from other buyers who resell their tickets. You can see these tickets listed here.
Resell tickets will cost more than the face value of the ticket as the seller can charge what they want. If you buy through the ticket links we list on this site you’ll be fully guarenteed against seller fraud and non delivery. If you buy off eBay you won’t.
